WE ARE OFFICIALLY TTC!!!

That's right. I said it. We are back to the drawing board and trying to concieve. Are we nuts???? Yes. Do we care??? No. Well, maybe a little. But, we are doing it anyway. We have spent the last few months seriously considering baby #2 -- pouring over the pros and cons -- and we feel that now is the time. It just makes sense to us to have our babies close together in age. The obvious reason -- built in friends. The less obvious reason -- get all the baby and toddler stuff over at the same time. We don't want to change diapers for 2-3 years with Miles and then get saddled with changing diapers again for another 2-3 years. No thank you. The last reason is, obviously, not limited to diapers. All of the rough phases will be relatively close together. Over and done with!!!! Plus we're just really darn excited about having another baby. It never occured to us that we would grow to love Miles so much that we would desperately want to have another baby just to see how wonderful that would be.
We are trying to be realistic, though. We are aware that I am over 30 now and have creeped into "medium risk" territory. It's very possible that we are in for a much harder battle this time around. Getting pregnant after only 3 attempts is considered fast and easy. We know that this time it's likely to take us longer. But, we are optimistic and we're diving right in during this cycle. If we do concieve this month we will be welcoming our new baby home in the sweet month of February. I must admit that the girl in me absolutely adores this notion. We'd also love to have a little girl, but another boy would be so absolutely wonderful. We already have a list names for both a boy and girl. I won't reveal those until much later!!!
